MadWater Beverages Pvt Ltd (“MadWater”, “we”, “us”) operates madwaterco.com and the MadWater Co. brand. This policy describes the information we collect from you, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We comply with the Information Technology Act 2000, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
- Account & order data: name, email address, phone number, shipping address, billing address.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor Razorpay. We do not store card numbers, UPI handles, or net-banking credentials on our servers.
- Usage data: pages visited, products viewed, items added to cart, and basic device information collected via standard web analytics.
- Newsletter data: email address you submit if you subscribe to launch announcements and offers.
How we use your information
- To process orders and deliver products to your shipping address.
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and customer support replies.
- To send marketing communications you have opted in to.
- To improve the website, products, and customer experience.
- To meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations under Indian law.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary data with trusted third parties that help us run the business:
- Razorpay — payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's privacy policy.
- Courier partners — name, address, and phone number required for last-mile delivery.
- Sanity — content management system that stores product information.
- Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery, subject to their privacy policy.
- Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

We use essential cookies to keep your cart and language preference working, and basic analytics to understand site usage. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
Your rights
You can request, at any time:
- A copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction of incorrect data.
- Deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdrawal of marketing consent (every newsletter has an unsubscribe link).

Data retention
Order records are retained for 8 years to meet GST and accounting obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for 26 months.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment data flows directly to Razorpay over their PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. We follow reasonable security practices under the IT Rules 2011.
